AVANTIKA'S POV

I'm thankful to Ruhi for that day, if she would have ignored me like everybody did then I would have not overcome the pain, the sorrow, the feeling of emptiness which makes you want to hate yourself and kill yourself at the same time. But she barged into my life forcefully and made me realize that it's ok to share, it's ok to be vulnerable to the ones who understand you.

"You again zoned out Avu, yaar kabhi tho sun le meri baat dhyan se!, is beechari abla naari ka kya hoga, iski toh koi sunta hi nahi, samjhta hi nahi..." and guess what my Ruhi's melodrama started where she wants me to do something which I don't want to do, but at the end she wins and I lose.

[Oh my Dear Friend, at least listen to me carefully! No one listens to me or understands me, what will happen to this poor helpless woman.]

So I just surrender by raising my hands in the air and ask her that what exactly she wants from me "Accha meri maa bol Kya chayiye ab tujhe? And I swear Ruh agar kuch ulta pulta hua na I'll kill you with my bare hands".

[Okay my mother, tell me, what do you want now? And I swear Ruh if it's something stupid I'll kill you with my bare hands]

"Hawwwww, Mein tujhe aunty kabse dikhne lagi? I know mihika aunty is pataka but yaar maa banne mein time hai mujhe and also do you think of me so bad that I ask for something ulta pulta?".

[Hawwwww, when did you start seeing me as an aunty? I know that Mihika Aunty looks amazing, but there is time for me to become a mother.]

When I say she is melodramatic I feel like she got this dramatic side when aunty was expecting her, I did confirm with aunty and she said that it was not her who use to binge watch Ekta Kapoor serials but it was uncle who use to watch it. I think so it's just parents stuff? Ok back to my bull, I mean my angry bestfriend because apparently I zoned out again. "Ruhiii (fake angry face), can you get to the point?" I asked her which made her a bit attentive towards me.

"Ok ok! I'll tell you what exactly I need, but promise me you won't back out?", it's her way of blocking the deal so that she can use it against me in future and also who am I kidding.

I nodded to her question but being a child my bestfriend is she forwarded her pinky finger, and I'm staring at her as if she is an alien. "Ruh! What are we 9? That we promise with our fingers locked".

But oh ho! She came with a brutal counter attack by reminding me about the mistake I did "Do I need to remind you Miss Avantika Raichand that you bailed on my party yesterday?".

I swear never make best friends with a lawyer they know when to play their cards at the right time. "Ok fine!" with that i locked my pinky finger with her and stared at her to continue. 

"So we are going to club, and you won't say no! Because you are sorry I know you are a good friend who doesn't want to break her bestfriend's heart. Am I right?"

See right there! That's blackmailing, that's what she does always and me who has done a mistake apparently need to compensate like this. Now the club which she has chosen, she will set me up with some guy and let me tell you there are two things which I don't like about clubs, first is guys and second is setting up with guys. I hate, when I say hate it's like a lava of anger and frustrations over guys who just sweet talk to you and then try to get into your pants. But here my friend believes that I should get over with my broken heart by sleeping with somebody and then lose my dignity and virginity. How cool right? I said yes to her only on one condition stating that, she won't set me up with a guy and we are having girls night-out.

AUTHORS POV:

First Ruhi was reluctant to the condition set by Avantika but at the end she agreed to, because she does miss her bestfriend a lot. So now they are having lunch at their special Dhaba, known as "Sukhi da Dhaba". They found the Dhaba when they were returning on a rainy day three years back. They were tired with all the Ruh-Avu day out and it was almost midnight, and they were hungry like lions looking for their prey. That's when they saw "Sukhi da Dhaba", so from that day it's their favorite spot. Whether they are angry, happy, frustrated, delighted or sad they come here. Even the owner is friends with them and he remembers their order by heart.

"Aha! I'm so hungry, Maan yaar hum aa gaye todha hum gareebo ko khana de de" said Ruhi in her own dramatic way. On which Avantika was just laughing silently because she knows what's going to happen next. There comes Maan or Maanu urf Armaan Gill, owner of "Sukhi da Dhaba" and our dear friend. Ruh and Maan fight a lot when I say fight there is physical violence involved. Once it was out of control where both sides parents were involved.

[Maan Hey friend, we have come, give us food to the poor]

There he is standing with his hands on hips and giving a deadly stare to Ruhi, and other customers are staring at them as if some movie is going to start. Most of the customers and all the staff are familiar with both of them. "Miss Bhardwaj, yeh aapka ghar nahi hai Ki jab chahe muh uthake aa jaye aur khana mang le, this is my Dhaba ok be a little respectful, or else leave." After hearing this everyone was serious and the atmosphere became tense. Both Ruhi and Avantika were staring at Armaan, and after 30 seconds he started laughing while catching his stomach. Looking at him both the girls started laughing as well and later the staff and customers also joined. To which avantika apologized to all the customers for the inconvenience they caused.

[This is not your house to come and ask for food whenever you want.]

"Ok ok! Now tell me what will you have? The same order correct. Dal makhani, Paneer mutter malai, Peshawari chicken, Aloo aur pyaaz de kulche, 4 piece Butter Naan, Sarso da saag de Makke di Roti, Do lassi makhan maarke and last but not the least Gulab jamun aur Adrak Ki Chai." If Maan is present he takes and places their order and if he is not, staff members take care of it because all of them have by hearted their order. So its rest assured that they don't leave on an empty stomach from here. With that Avantika replied to him "Thank you Maanu, aur aj tu bhi beth ke khayega hamare saath. Deal!" And shook hands with him. He smiled to her assuring that he he will have lunch with them and left from there to the kitchen.

[And today even you will eat with us]

RUHI'S POV

"Yaar Maan tu aaj free hai?" I asked that crackhead apparently he is my only guy friend and I need his suggestion.

[Hey Maan today are you free?]

"Haan bol kya hua, around 6:30 in the evening I'll get free" while eating his third gulab jamun he replied to me.

[Yes say what happened]

"So you know Vicky right? His birthday is next week and I need to buy a gift for him, I need your opinion. You know you are a guy and you might know what's great for men and all" I informed him and started looking for waiter. One more cup of tea won't be that bad right?

He stopped eating his gulab jamun and stood up. "Kya hua khade kyu hogaya?, abhi nahi jana hai. Tu bhi na" I started laughing he is so eager to help me. My tea is here finally. As I was going to take a sip, he said something which made me look at him questioningly.

[What happened, why are you standing? We don't have to go yet. You also na]

"I'm not free, mom has called me. She needs my help and I can't be late for home". I arched my eyebrow at his statement and asked him that just he was free 5 mins ago and suddenly he remembered aunty's work. But what he said next made me shocked, "Ruhi everything is not about you ok. As I said it just slipped my mind and I'm not your slave, so spare me. Oh wait! This is what your 69th boyfriend? Gift him anything for all I care".

Oh boy now I'm angry! I get it he has work but he can be polite what got his pants on fire. I'm Ruhi Bhardwaj I take no men's cruelty, so I replied him in his way.

"First of all, I'm not dying for your help. I can manage, I just needed your opinion. But you are so high almighty, get lost." With that I picked up my bag, left my remaining sweet tea and started moving. But I remember something and I came back and paid the entire bill. Because that's my way to show that I can handle my self very well. I bid my goodbye to Avu and made my way out.

Girls can be independent in every way, and they never take any guys help. Because these guys, they are all goody shoes but they don't take a minute to throw everything at your face. And Ruhi Bhardwaj is not someone you could insult and hell she is not going to talk to him.

"Bhaad mein jaye! Mujhe kya" I murmured while driving my car away.

[Got to hell! For all I care.]
